From finding companies to deciding who is worth contacting

A prospecting system should help people decide the next step, not just compile a list.

Qiyu Agent connects product positioning, company search, match analysis and outreach strategy. In designing this flow, our focus was this: once a company’s details have been found, can the user understand why it is relevant, and what is still unclear? That decides whether the outreach that follows has a concrete starting point.

First, be clear about the partner you’re looking for

Region and industry can narrow a search, but on their own they can’t tell you whether a company suits your business. What you sell, the kind of relationship you want and your target market should all be worked out first.

So Qiyu starts from product positioning and the customer profile, and only then moves on to finding companies. That order gives the list a yardstick: when looking at a company, you can go back to your own business needs and see, point by point, how it relates to the partner you have in mind.

Keep the match evidence next to what still needs checking

A company showing up in the results doesn’t make it a qualified customer. The system needs to give the evidence for the match and also keep what’s still unclear, so the user knows what supports a judgment and what still needs confirming.

Qiyu presents the company profile, the match evidence and the open questions together. We want users to read and judge in one place, rather than holding a conclusion that looks certain and then going back to hunt for the material behind it. The next step might be reaching out, or it might be checking further.

Outreach suggestions should build on the earlier judgment

If the product positioning and company details are already worked out, they should carry through into preparing the outreach. Qiyu links the outreach strategy, email drafts and follow-up records, so the work after finding a company has a clear place to go.

A human review still happens before anything is sent: are the facts right, is the reason for reaching out strong enough, and does the wording fit the business? The public demo uses fixed sample companies and demo data, so it shows the process design; it can’t prove real prospecting or sales results.

The judgment behind this design

A useful prospecting flow has to show at the same time who was found, why they are worth a closer look, and what still needs confirming next.
